A Bigger World Foundation; The Academy is a nonprofit organization focused on mentoring, providing academic assistance, building basketball skills and teamwork for middle school students in Waukegan, Illinois. Our focus is helping our students become leaders at school, within their teams, and in their community. 

Our summer program runs from June 10- July 26,  with academics from 8am until 12pm. Options to work for in June and July or just one month. We are looking for passionate instructors that love middle schoolers with the ability to lead a classroom with prepared curriculum.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Strong classroom management and ability to work on teams

  • Deliver created curriculum

  • Keep accurate data on students and activities

  • Attend weekly field trips (optional)

  • Ensure all programs, lessons, and activities are organized and conducted in a professional manner that represents A Bigger World’s focus and philosophies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience with middle school students and classroom management system
